Food and Beverage Product Development Website Launched
(PRWeb) January 3, 2007 -- Food and beverage technologist Pete Maletto has officially launched http://foodconsultant.biz to represent his company PTM Food Consulting. The site features the latest food and beverage trends and will feature food technology articles on cutting edge new ingredients and processes.
PTM Consulting Inc. is a full service project management and product development company serving the food, beverage and dietary supplement industry. They identify consumer driven trends and create unique, innovative formulations to serve them.
As a food scientist consultant, Pete has been working on several innovative projects, all described on the site. He provides his 15 years of experience and insight into the creative world of new food and beverage product development.
"Many companies are looking for a food and product development manager that does not disturb company structure and hiring an outside food consultant can consistently produce efficient results. We can provide an entirely new perspective on your marketplace in relation to your product line. We then incorporate that new found creativity that can put your company on the fast track to profitability with innovative, great tasting products," said Maletto
According to the website, there are many advantages when hiring outside food consultants to do your work. New food and beverage product development is often one of the least repetitive, lowest-volume processes in most business units, but some companies spend millions on salaries and benefits on restricted in house programs.
As a result, management frequently looks at new product development more of an art than a defined business process. In house costs involved can be quite elevated, involving highly paid workers that do not have a well-defined business process. The result is the effort required to characterize and improve in house product development is just not worth it. One of the many reasons the consultant industry is growing is because companies now leave the development process up to food project management consultants and concentrate about other cost saving strategies to maximize their bottom line.
"When people think about creativity, they think about artistic work -- unbridled, unguided effort that leads to that home run product that spearheads the business to grand profitability, but the advantages using us doesn't stop there. After developing the food or beverage formulation we help guide it along every step of the way, cost engineering as we strategize. Cost savings for food companies using our services is a huge plus. While the average new product launch can run a lot of money, we see the cost cut in half when they use us," said Maletto
